ToDuo is built around a simple idea: couples should be able to share lists without creating accounts, handing over personal data, or being tracked.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect (very little), how it’s used, and how we protect it.
Information We Collect
ToDuo does not require accounts, email addresses, names, or passwords.
- Shared list data (list names, items, and completion state)
- Anonymous device identifiers used only to sync lists between partners
- Basic diagnostic information if the app crashes (via Apple-provided tools)
- Your name or email
- Contacts or address book
- Location data
- Photos or camera data (outside QR scanning)
- Browsing or advertising data
How Your Data Is Used
Data is used only to make ToDuo work:
- Syncing shared lists between connected partners
- Keeping lists up to date in real time
- Fixing bugs and improving reliability
Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or analytics beyond basic app stability.
Sharing & Selling Data
We do not sell your data. Period.
List data is shared only between you and the partner you explicitly connect with. No third parties can see your lists.
Cloud Sync
Shared lists are synced through secure cloud infrastructure so both partners see updates instantly.
Private lists remain on your device and are not shared.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption and Apple-recommended security practices to protect data in transit and at rest.
No system is perfect, but we design ToDuo to minimize risk by collecting as little data as possible.
Your Choices
You’re always in control:
- Disconnect from your partner at any time
- Delete lists instantly
- Remove the app to delete all local data
Children’s Privacy
ToDuo is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this Privacy Policy, we’ll post the changes here. Any changes will respect the same core principles: simplicity, transparency, and minimal data.
